Download Swastik Codes for desktop
The desktop app sends every request from your own computer, so localhost, your LAN, Docker networks and VPN-only hosts just work, with no CORS limits. It has everything the web app has, signing in syncs the same workspaces, and it is light: an 11 MB Windows installer that used 434 MB of memory in our side-by-side test, less than Postman, Insomnia, Bruno or Hoppscotch.
Why use the desktop app
Local and private targets
Call
localhost, Docker networks, LAN devices and hosts that are only reachable over your VPN.Native engine, no relay
Requests leave from your machine through a Rust HTTP engine. No CORS, no proxy, and the target sees your own IP address.
Everything the web app does
All eight protocols, tests and scripts, the collection runner, load tests, mocks, monitors, docs and team features.
Same account, same workspaces
Sign in with your Swastik Codes account and your cloud workspaces, environments and teams sync between the app and the browser.

How to install
- Run the downloaded
Swastik Codes setup .exe. It installs for your user account only, so no administrator rights are needed. - If Windows SmartScreen shows Windows protected your PC, choose More info, then Run anyway. The installer is not code-signed yet, so Windows does not recognise the publisher.
- The app uses Microsoft Edge WebView2, which Windows 10 and 11 already include. If it is missing, the installer downloads it for you.

Is the desktop app free?
Yes. Like the web app, it is free to use and there are no paid plans today.
Do I need an account?
No. You can send requests from a local workspace without signing in, because requests run on your own computer. Sign in to sync workspaces, work with a team, or use mock servers and monitors, which run on swastik.codes.
Where are my requests sent from?
From your computer. HTTP requests, collection runs, load tests and WebSocket, Socket.IO, SSE, gRPC, MQTT and MCP connections all start on your machine, so the target sees your IP address and your network rules apply. Only account features such as sync, sharing, mock servers and monitors talk to swastik.codes.
Does it update itself?
Check this page for new versions; the version number is shown at the top. Installing a newer version over an older one keeps your data.
Is there a macOS or mobile app?
A macOS version is coming.Yes, for macOS 10.15 or later on Apple silicon and Intel Macs. There is no mobile app; the web app works on phones and tablets in the browser.
