A team API catalog that builds itself from your collections

Most teams lose time finding out whether an API already exists, who owns it and where its docs are. The API catalog answers that from what is already in Swastik Codes: every collection and API definition in the cloud workspaces you belong to, in one searchable list.

Search across every workspace

Open API catalog from the workspace menu or the command palette (Ctrl+K). Type a name, an owner, a tag or part of an endpoint such as POST /charges, and the catalog shows the matching APIs, with the matching requests listed under each one. Filter by workspace (team or personal), by kind (collections or API definitions), by status, or by clicking a tag.

Each entry shows:

  • its team and workspace, and when it last changed;
  • the owner and a contact, such as a chat channel or an email list;
  • a status: draft, beta, stable or deprecated;
  • tags, a one-line summary and how many requests it has;
  • links to its published docs, and how many mock servers and monitors use it;
  • the API definition it is linked to, from API design.

Click a name to open it, even when it lives in another workspace.

Ownership in one tab

Owners fill in a collection's Catalog tab: the owner (people in the workspace are suggested, or click Me), a contact, a status, tags and a summary. The details are saved with the collection, so they sync to the whole team, appear in version history and travel with exports. Collections with no owner set show who created them, so nothing is anonymous.

Private by default

The catalog only lists workspaces you are a member of, through your team or a direct invitation. Other people's personal workspaces never appear, and nothing is published outside your account. Collections in a local workspace stay on your device and are not listed.

Frequently asked questions

Do I have to set it up?

No. Every cloud collection is in the catalog from the start, with its requests, docs, mocks and creator. Owner, contact, status and tags are optional extras that make search better.

Can people outside my team see the catalog?

No. Each person sees only the workspaces they belong to. To share an API's reference publicly, publish its docs.

Does it cost anything?

No. The catalog is free, like the rest of Swastik Codes.

Try it on your own API
